13 Reasons is a Netflix Original Series based on a book by Jay Asher. The story is set in small town high school, and has the hallmarks of a teen drama, but deals with some very dark themes. It revolves around the suicide of a girl (Hannah) and the death note's she left behind in the form of 12 cassette tapes. Netflix came to us to create a short title sequence for the show.
We created 3 directions for the team at Netflix. This first one takes the thought that Hannah's memory is forever encased in the tapes she left behind. Although the circumstances are dark and tragic, she is at peace and immortalized by this physical record of her life.
